If I were the Taliban
- Confiscate passports of all American and our allies and put them in a prison
- Tell the US nobody will be released until all frozen Afghanistan assets are released to the Taliban
- When the US misses the first deadline publicly behead someone and add a a bunch of money to the demand.
- Promise to offer western style human rights to the population as a bargaining chip (but never do it)
- Collect the cash
I am pretty sure they would get this stuff and maybe more if they played it right.

Well I have a better Idea. Lets make that place a nuclear testing facility or a missile , bombing facility . Russia could play too.

I am just looking at it from their perspective. This can be very useful.
Now if I were the POTUS- I would have AC130 circling the Kabul Airport keeping the roads clear and give the Taliban 24 hours to deliver every person who wants to be evacuated to the airport.
Also re-establish Bagram Airbase might come in handy.

If I was the POTUS I would have my soldiers shoot anyone with a M4/M16 that the Taliban. I would also have the AC-130's over the cities and I would help the NA guys in the pansjer.
