NAW!! There are just too many rivets. Lousy MPG and very little trunk space.

And you had me convinced that you replaced the van with an old mans car, a Grand Marquis. Oh I get it, this is your weekend ride for picking up chicks. 😀Bob

Those rivets look to be ornamental unless they hold the body to an under frame. And the louvers in the hood? Maybe for air flow? I don't want to sound like a downer though, that car is a beast.

Y'know I think you're probably right. A car of that quality would be made of hand rolled panels riveted to a sub chassis, like my alloy 1963 Land Rover. But even my crusty old Rover uses flush aircraft rivets. And look at the hinged louvered panel ahead of the wheel arch in photo #2. That would be flush riveted on too.

I suspect the louvers in the bonnet (let's at least TRY to get the nomenclature right!) dump heat from a forward mounted radiator.

But what a gorgeous, sexy, spectacular beast. That side profile looks exactly like a Hollywood starlet reclining with a come-hither look in her smoky eyes. By design.

Looks like the rivets are real.

Does it not have an engine air filter?

That engine's life expectancy was measured in hours, not decades. No filters required.
