Well, the Wuhan virus along with illegal and legal drug use has taken care of this problem with the baby-boomers here living too long.

Society is dominated by the old—old political leaders, old judges. With each passing year, as longevity increases, the intergenerational imbalance worsens. The old demand benefits for which the young must pay, while people in their 20s become disenchanted, feeling that the deck is stacked against them. National debt increases at an alarming rate. Innovation and fresh thinking disappear as energies are devoted to defending current pie-slicing arrangements.

This isn’t a prediction about the future of the United States, but rather a description of Japan right now. The Land of the Rising Sun is the world’s grayest nation. Already the median age is 45 (in the U.S., by comparison, it is 37), and it will jump to 55 by 2040. As Nicholas Eberstadt, a demographer at the American Enterprise Institute, has noted, median age in the retirement haven of Palm Springs, California, is currently 52 years. Japan is on its way to becoming an entire nation of Palm Springs residents.

The number of Americans 65 or older could reach 108 million in 2050. That’s like adding three more Floridas, inhabited entirely by seniors.

Been saying this all along. Have also speculated that it wasn't developed to be weaponized, but as population control i.e. it was most deadly for elderly and morbidly ill. As with any virus, once released it adapted to survive. Delta is less deadly and spreads more easily insuring viral survival. Viruses mutate to propagate and not kill the host.

The last three months of life is the most expensive for the monetary system. Of course, Medicare and Social Security will gain a big windfall for the socialism agenda now.

After decades of development and annual "tweaks", we still can't get better than 40% (average) effectiveness from the the flu vaccine. Why would we have expected the chinavirus vaccine, rushed into production and given only "emergency" approval, to be any more effective or long lasting? Herd immunity was ALWAYS a fabrication of the creepy little doctor and big pharma.
