Nanuq, thanks for the historic lesson. I'm gonna use all your hard work!đŸ˜€

The sun controls the earth's climate such that man's impact is negligible. A proper analogy is to take a blow torch to a pipe you're holding in your hand. The freak-outers would claim your hand is what's heating the pipe.

Hear, hear. Have you ever stood in a hot field and felt that blast of heat hitting you from the Sun, and thought about it?

Imagine if that heat was from a campfire. How big would the fire have to be if it was 20 feet away to burn you like that? How about if it was 20 miles away? How big is that fire?

Now consider it's 96 million miles away. And it burns like it does. DAMN that's a big fire.

And we think our pathetic CO2 emissions are able to modulate that amount of energy hitting our planet?

    Pleeeeeeease.

Here is an interesting article that provides some inconvenient facts that the climate screechers don't pay any attention to. If it doesn't mesh with their dogma it is ignored.

Industry Experts: CO2 Worse Than Useless in Trapping Heat/Delaying Cooling | Principia Scientific Intl.
Does carbon dioxide have the physical properties of heat trapping/delayed cooling as alleged by climate scientists? Well, according to experiments conducted by experts in the ‘hard’ sciences at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory CO2 just doesn’t do what climate science says it does. For three decades now academics have been warning governments and scaring the bejesus out of policymakers about the ‘dangerous’ warming properties of CO2 and other ‘greenhouse gases’ if we allow human emissions to build up in the atmosphere. But in their study Berkeley laboratory test experts Reilly, Arasteh and Rubin revealed something truly remarkable when setting out to apply those assumed properties of carbon dioxide – enshrined in climate change theory - to create better performing insulated double-glazing window manufacture. What was discovered was that under stringent lab conditions it can be shown that regular air delays/traps heat better than greenhouse gases such as CO2!

They have screeched their C02 theory so long and loud it has become accepted as truth even though there are scientific studies that dispute it. Sounds kind of like they learned from a certain Nazi propaganda minister. Bob

BobJudy now that right there is what "science" is all about. Someone posts their findings and data and makes a bold claim. Other people take that data and attempt to disprove the claim. Nothing is ever "settled". Not in the world of science.

Climate change is......... "Talk about a conspiracy theory! That is the mother conspiracy of all conspiracies."

Just sayin. Carbon Dioxide is NOT killing the planet. Plastic, chemicals, etc. in the water and strewn about the land IS killing the planet and all that inhabit it. Everyone who is pushing CO2 as the issue are simply lying and making big $ off the lies. We ARE killing the planet, but CO2 is NOT the issue.

Also, it has ZERO to do with the temp of the planet. Temps ebb and flow, always have and always will! QUIT throwing trash out the window and into the water. That's a much better way to save the planet than to install wind mills that have to be thrown in the LANDFILL when they break.

When the Creator first molded this ball and set it to spinning in the heavens, He engineered it to spin until a particular date, far into the future. I do not believe there is anything we humans can do to delay or hasten that day.

Climate change was occurring before there were any significant number of humans on the planet, and it for sure was occurring before there were internal combustion engines polluting the air.

For us to think that we are responsible for climate change, or that there is anything we can do to alter its cycle, is the height of arrogance.

IF the climate change folks were truly convinced that the planet was warming and was going to overheat so badly that life as we know it would cease to exist then the solution would be simple. Send up a geostationary satellite and place it between the Earth and the sun. Wouldn't have to be very big at all to create a little shade and cool the planet.

If CO2 was as bad as they say, our trees and other plant life that feed on CO2 would have grown so much they would block out the sun.

Flying Clay Disk, That's what I was getting at.

If a one degree temperature increase over a decade is an existential threat, then the annual springtime warmup when our temps increase by 50 to 100 degrees should be the death knell of the planet.

Instead we call it "pleasant" and open the windows to air out the house.
