anyone see the picture of all the people crammed into that C-17. my guess is the seat belt light is not an issue. wonder how they are calculating the take off weight,

Those aircraft (C-17) are built to transport troops and equipment. With cargo capacity at 170,900 lbs., if everyone on there weighed 200 lbs it is capable of transporting 854 peeps. If average weight of the peeps is 170 lbs that bumps the capability to 1005 refugees. I would venture to guess the average weight is lower than that so capability isn't an issue.

And most of those folks probably have never been on a plane before. I hope they had a lot of barf bags.

At around 5,000' they should open the tail ramp and perform a maximum climb rate for a couple thousand feet. I'm sure we've all seen real birds do this during a hasty take-off.

Have to wonder if the terrorists are being screened before boarding the plane.
Where are they being dumped.
Do they all love Americans and how many might change their minds about loving us once they get here.
Can they take them to the White House to care for them.
Who is paying for their room and board.
How many has the new Covid Variant. Have they been vaccinated.
Seems I heard something about Bin Laden loved America once but got mad when we cut off his funding and quit helping him fight the Russians.

From what I have read they are being taken to Qatar for now.
