I literally just received a telephone call from "Amazon", telling that that I had just been charged $799.00 for an order that was under investigation.
The recording told me to "press 1" to speak to an Amazon employee. I did so, and spoke to an Asian female. Seems to me, 99% of all scammers are Asian, at least that's been my experience.
I let her rattle on a bit, and then I unloaded on her, telling her exactly what I think of her, and her parents for conceiving her, as well as her choice of employment.
She said something in Asian and then hung up. 🤣
Wow! You are a much bigger spender than I am. The last two "Amazon" calls I got were both for $349.99 and if I don't call them back the item would be shipped. So far no neat stuff has shown up.😁
I gave Amazon the heads up and even gave them the phone number but somehow I doubt they will do anything. At least it was fun grilling the wife about her purchases. Or it was until she figured out I was pulling her leg. I'll probably be healed up in a week or so. Bob

I guess that I'm not a very popular guy. I rarely get any of those calls - probably once a month. What I have been getting quite often the last month are messages from girls that want to do naughty things with me. Pretty disgusting but a little fattering too.

They finally quite calling me concerned about my car's warranty. Now they call informing me that my Social Security account is under investigation due to suspicious transactions.

I think I have found away to get on a no call list, I know they say there is no such thing, but this is what I have done for a while, and now no one calls me anymore. When the phone rings I pick it up and say, "Macomb Illinois state police head quarters, officer Miller, how may I direct your call", and if no one answers after a couple of seconds I say, "Hello-- Hello" and then hang up. And in the event someone does answer you, tell them, "if this is and emergency you need to hang up and dial 911". Practice it a few time using what ever police station you have near you, I'm serious no one calls me now.

My secretary got a call from someone that knew who her actual extended warranty was with. She had bought a car last year and bought the EW. They told her her EW was not registered and she needed to pay a $249 registration fee because the EW was void without it and she had failed to pay it when she bought the car. She called the dealership to check the validity of it and they told her they were getting several calls from folks about it and it was a scam. They were in contact with the EW company alerting them to what was going on.

It's gotten to the point that I hope it turns out to be a live person on the other end. I usually go on an X-rated rant until they hang up. The wife says that won't stop them, but it makes ME feel better since they initiated the call, not me. I even threatened some idiot from Louisiana who called numerous times with severe bodily harm if I ever found out where he was. Never heard from him again.

I use my phone for my work and I have to answer calls even if I think it's spam/scam. I have zero patience with them.
