It's odd thinking back to being child and watching my grandparents pouring cream onto their pie and my imaging that it was strange. Well, when that ice cream melted, guess what it became? It became cream.
They were wonderful to me. It's only now that they are gone (40 years) that I really appreciate them.

The late great Captain Midnight made some fantastic apple pie that came in a quart jar. Didn't look nothin' like that and I'd bet dollars to road apples didn't taste anything like that either!

I wish I hadn't looked at that. I'm diabetic and not supposed to eat that. But boy does that look good. I'll just have to go get a cracker to tide me over until dinner,
