Can some body explain this .308 Remington, I mean .308 Savage, or Remington, or Savage??

.308 Sav on barrel. Can it have been re-barreled as a .300 Sav. ???

Sounds like one of those Johnny Cash welfare Cadillac specials to me Ricci. He built it one piece at a time and it didn't cost him a dime! 😆

look at the stamped '8', deeper that the '.30' . they did make this rifle in .300 savage, someone just reamed the chamber to .308 and restamped the last '0'. a fired case MIGHT have an extra shoulder if the .308 reamer didn't clean up the .300 chamber.

i was also thinking 300 savage, i have one of those. unless the chamber was damaged why would you want to go from 300 savage to 308. it does look like a restamp.
