Suggestions for a new 9mm pistol

I have a problem in racking a slide on my current pistols. My hands aren't what they were even 15 years ago. My current favorite is my Kel-Tec P-11. It's a nice size for me but with no manual safety I can't carry with one in the chamber. Does anyone make a compact 9mm that has a manual safety? I remember 15 years ago a pal had a Berretta that had a tip up barrel but I don't remember about any safety.

    Just bought my wife the Smith and Wesson ez it comes with or with out a safety hers is with the safety I shot it the other day the only problem she had was she was gripping it too low at first and wasn't disengaging the grip safety

    I have that one and it snub nose brother excellent handgun the Ruger LCR in 9mm is pretty good too

    Another vote for checking out the S&W EZ9 it's made for those with poor hand strength.

    I carry a Ruger LC9s (w/safety) for summer. It's a good pistol, holds 7 rounds plus one in the chamber. Racking the slide isn't exactly easy, but it's not near as hard as some I have.

    I just racked my P-11, and the Ruger is quite a bit lighter to rack.

    Daughter has a EZ9, one of her daughters a EZ380. They are both happy with them.

    Go to a gun shop. Rack the slide on a Smith EZ against anything else they have there. You'll see.

    we have 2 S&W EZ 9 and 1 in 380, all have have the manual safety, all of them have been good guns ,

    my wife also has a Sig Sauer P250 compact in 380 , they also come in 9mm, they don't have any safety but they don't need one as they are a true double action only, just like shooting a double action revolver, I took a look and there are a few listed on the auction side, you might look at those also

    cbxjeff I have an FNX-9. It's easier to work than others I've owned. Double action to single action, de-cocker/safety. I like it.

    Beretta makes/made a line of pocket pistols with the tip up barrel. I had one in .22lr and it worked fine. I had an older one in .25acp and it was fine also. But as far as I know the largest cartridge they make on for is .32acp, I think it's called the Tomcat. I've heard of some people having problems with the 32 but I've never owned one.

    Wife has limited hand strength and has Beretta 21A Bobcat (.22 LR) and 3032 Tomcat (.32 ACP). Never need to rack a slide, ideal for her. They also make 86 Cheetah (.380) but limited availability.

    I wouldn't buy anything that was made in the last 10 + years, they all look the like crap and the same. I like classic auto loaders like the Smith model 39/59, the CZ75, Browning Hi Power, the Colt 9mm even the Daewoo that's nearly a 59 clone. I like the character of the old ones not all this cheap plastic BS. I'd buy a good used old one compared to anything new.

    Classics? My wife has a Walther pp in 32acp and a Beretta model 70s 380. Pretty proficient with both.

    Some of those little guns have terrible slide pressure and releases. Have a Ruger Lc9 with a safety. I shoot seven and put another mag in it without messing with the slide. Leave the 8th rd in the tube and change mag . even slide release is hard to push down. Consider a .38 snub

    If you have a lot of 9mm ammo on hand look into the Ruger snub nose revolver s chambered in 9mm I have both the LCR and SP 101 and both are great shooters

    Yes to the .38 stubbie. S&W 36 or stainless 60.

    Taurus G2C is a good and economical choice. If I didn't already have an older one, I'd look for the newer model with the optic cutout slide top.

    I don't put much stock or give much credit to the "e-z rack" stuff since I hardly ever unload my carry pistol.
