Just guessing but the first picture looks like it might be set up for moon clips. Could it be for a 9mm?

    Not without any internal measurements.

The 2-piece construction, lack of flutes & qty 6 FHMS tells me that this is a 1-off custom piece made by a bored toomaker: & it's 1 helluva G-job.

Have you measured any other pertinent features, dropped a resized .38 Spec case in there, or gauged the counterbores for rim diameter & thickness?

If you run a bolt through the center hole into a nice block of walnut or pecan wood it will hold some pens and pencils on your desk.

BP to cartridge conversion cylinder, like a Kirst?

    Trapp55,

I think you're right about it being a conversion cylinder. I don't have any idea of the maker. I'm sending a few more pictures. I found an extractor that fits it perfectly, as shown in the pictures.

Thank you, and all who have helped to ID this cylinder up to now.

Could be that the cylinder goes forward to cover the rear of the barrel, like a Nagant.

    Kannoneer,

It sure looks like that to me. I really think that it is some kind of conversion cylinder. Probably some trying to make a silenced revolver?
