U.S. NAVY SHOTGUN

I just got a Remington model 11 riot gun marked "PROPERTY US NAVY" It's a 20" marked CYL for cylinder bore, and the serial number is in the right range. For some reason the CLY has been stippled over. Not sure why. Everything else looks good. The stock has crossed cannons and "FJA" like it should. Another enigma wrapped in a riddle.
