  Cute little thing. I didn't ever move up to the OV-10 Bronco, either. By the end of the Vietnam war, the mission of the slow FAC was becoming unsurvivable due to man-portable heat-seeking rockets and radar-directed AAA. It has long been an extinct mission. By about 1980, the FAC job was being flown in fighters.

  (In fact, I had one of the earliest recorded Strella rockets fired at me. I survived it because the doofus firing it used it like an RPG. The rocket passed by me before it had time to arm itself and begin tracking. I was kinda low at the time.)
