DLC... inside barrel ?
So I was thinking that many ppl are coating the outside of their guns with powder coat and it’s “diamond like” properties? What would it do to the inside of the barrel. Seems that it would increase life, and decrease wear. I’m thinking maybe for blackpowder? Or bpcr where fouling is an issue. Any thoughts?

Do a Google search for Dyna-Tek. Not exactly what you described but formulated to coat rifle bores. I haven't tried it but a buddy used it on his muzzleloader and was super pleased. Bob

If there was an advantage Glock would have been doing it for the last 10 years. I do wonder if anyone has applied DLC to ammunition.

Anything that is based on 'depositing material' is going to cause problems inside the barrel. Any irregularities within the bore may cause accuracy issues. Even chrome plating has been blamed for reduced accuracy potential.

My experience with powder coated bullet has been both positive and negative. Positive with handguns as they have relatively short barrels and the coating does reduce leading.
Rifles are different. The residue will transfer into the rifling groove and if you borescope or look at the muzzle end, you can tell what color bullets you are shooting. To remove the coating from the bore, you need to saturate your bore brush with lacquer thinner and scrub, followed by lacquer thinner (LT) soaked patches and swap till the color is gone. Regular bore cleaner did not work well for me,
LT can work with pistols if needed,
