Infrastructure bill includes $1B for commission run by Manchin’s wife
Same old pork-barrel southern Democrat politics with a cost of over a trillion dollars,and the Republicans have signed on to get it passed too! The voters certainly are not going to bite the hand that feeds them, and they guarantee no new federal taxes too!
Just more debt which means nothing anymore at negative interest rates on your savings! 30 trillion and counting!

It is not unheard of for spouses of powerful lawmakers to hold Senate-appointed roles. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, was secretary of transportation under then-President Donald Trump.
Some conservatives don't like that the agreement moves the country further away from relying on user fees, such as the federal gas tax, to pay for highway and transit improvements. Others are wary that the bill sets a course for much more federal spending after the government already provided for nearly $5 trillion dedicated to COVID relief.
This week, the Treasury Department warned Congress it was hitting the nation's debt limit.
