now I will ask for prayers/well wishes update
wife went into icu with chest pains on Sunday morn
tests were negative for heart attack, and even doc was confused/concerned as to cause
today after many tests, a "large defect" was noted, and cath tests tomorrow to try to figure out exactly what is going on
needless to say, quite scared right now, and with the on going phobia about the virus, she is in tears over the fact they will not let the grands in to see her
she is (rightfully) afraid she has seen them for the last time... 😪
UPDATE 1
they had her in o.r. being prepped, an active heart attack brought in by ambulance bumped her to waiting till morning
so still waiting for more info...

update 2
first, many thanks for the prayers and well wishes !
you guys and gals are always great !!
after being bumped by emergencies to the net day (Wednesday) they said nothing could be done via catheter, stent wont do it
so Monday early she is undergoing double by-pass
have no more flex hours at work, so will lose the day Monday to be with her, hate leaving her alone all day Thursday and Friday, but at least she is where she is monitored 24/7

best of luck they have came so far on such procedures nothing like it use to be but then nothing is
just keep dong what your doing moral support and stick with her its a scary time to be told such news
we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers
I know 1st hand way to much detail so the short story just over 16 years ago i went in had a heart Cath .. they said OMG you could die today tomorrow next week (98 99% blocked ) but you could go any time what a kick in the shorts too hear that . very next morning ( about 14 hours later ) I was having by pass done they said no way a stent was going to do it , way too difficult area for any thing but open heart
as a follow up I went in a month ago had some test done just not feeling right and waned to make sure stress test and a heart Cath .. all good the doc said it looked clean and like it was done yesterday ..

She will not be alone Thursday and Friday as God will be with her.

update #3
sorry for not keeping posted as i should, just very beat.
full day at work, go to spend time with her and home long enough to shove something in my stomach and TRY to sleep.
good news in regards to her recovery,
she went to a room a step down from icu on tues. and came home saturday.
i am a wreck, trying to keep a constant eye on her, the truck took a crap (and i am the one on emergency call this week, let alone paranoid something goes wrong with her) keep meals on her schedule, standard housework as she barely gets around for the next month or so...
but the main thing is SHE IS HOME AND RECOVERING !!!

great news
as you said she will need help for several weeks and maybe several months to get over it . but the good news is she is over the bad part now
your dong well this is just my 2 cents remember if you get sick or let your self go too much your not going to the help she needs so eat and sleep , to keep your energy up

Wow, glad to see she's home, and recovering. Be sure you take care of yourself too, she needs you to help her recover. Prayers for you both continue.

I went through similar issues with my wife 2 years ago. I had it easier as I was retired and could devote all the time necessary to take care of my wife. Having the added pressure of a job complicates things. Just don't wear yourself out, take some "unwind time" for yourself.
Good luck to both of you,
Joe
