    They obviously have no principles. Why compete for such a horrible country as United States? They should defect to a more enlightened home. Any of the socialist states would surely take them in, and I'm sure they'd be happy there.

    Its too bad when you dislike your own team but that is what happens when they mix sports with politics/opinion/religion.

    They were not my team. They were a team selected to represent my country in a world level competition.

    They failed - on both counts so . . . . . . .

    (Well, technically, they failed to represent my country at the competition. First they should have represented my country - an extra bonus would have been if they had done well during the competition. They did not do so great at that portion either.)

    Maybe they (them soccer players) should have took a knee and done some praying instead of protesting.


    They seemed to forget that they were sent over as a symbol of the USA instead of taking a knee and protesting the USA. Why not just leave them where they are, not paid trip back.
