Police Postive
I have a Police Positive .32 mfg 1922 serial # 181XXX. My question is that there a B in front of the caliber { B.32 } does any one know what the B stands for. I looked in blue book and online and can't seem to find anything on this. The gun is in excellent condition. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

It could mean it left the factory with a blue finish. At least that is the case with some S&W revolvers.

I guess or maybe it was sent back to colt for repair or reblueing .maybe someone else has an idea thans

It would help if you gave us a little more information. Better yet would be a photo.
Is the P hand stamped, or part of the roll stamp on the side of the barrel? I would expect a repair/custom shop marking to be on the grip frame, covered by the grips.
