*****UPDATE ,,,,,,, Cowgirl is out of a 9 hour surgery, husband’s surgery tomorrow.*****


The ‘cowgirl’ that jumped on the bears back (I posted a pic of her roping calves) and her husband were in a bad side-by-side wreck yesterday.

They both have broken necks, backs, ribs and internal injuries. The edge of the trail gave way and they tumbled down the mountain. Two helicopters were flown in to transport both to the hospital. All taking place after dark, in a remote part of the ranch.

Surgery is scheduled today for both and rods are to be placed in their necks and spines.

    Her surgery lasted 10+ hours. They fused all the vertebrae in the neck, and put a rod in the upper back and one in the lumbar area.

    His surgery was yesterday. They removed a disc in his lower back and put a rod in the upper portion. Neck is stabilized with screws and pins.

    Glad they survived. Their lives are changed. I hope they heal okay and and not just physically.

    She’s still in hospital, he might be out today, maybe. Albeit he is not allowed to do anything. Only one person/day is allowed to visit. Difficult to get any info.
