    good hunt.

I don’t think there is that many morning doves left in the country, cold snap last week caused the last hold outs to vamanos south.

Now, the collared eurasians are a different story, just like illegal immigrants, they don’t ever seem to leave.

Had a fraternity brother who's mother was from Louisiana. Used to breast them out and give them to her and the next day go over to their house for a Dove dinner. Her graveys were different each time and one was better than the other. Always served with a different dish as well.

I have taken many, many doves and never seen a ‘banded’ one ,,,,,,,, I suppose you can get pertinent info if you contact USF&WS ,,,,,,,,

Bands are a trophy of sorts.

Shot a few banded Canada geese. Buddies have a lot of duck and goose bands.

You call the number on them, or enter info on line.

They track where they were banded, how old they are, and then ultimately, where they are recovered to help them understand migration patterns.
