Those that give of them selves unselfishly, to make the worst time in a persons life better. Are special people. Thank you both!

I hope everything goes well for you. I used to play in a Budweiser sponsored golf outing that was a cancer benefit. We played a local course and had great times.

They decided to move to the Ann Arbor area and we stopped contributing.

Thanks for all your comments and encouragement. We had a perfect if somewhat hectic day. Couldn't have asked for better weather and everyone seemed to have a good time. Lunch was good and the raffles went well. We had a few more skeet shooters this year and the number of sporting clays shooters stayed about the same as last year. The volunteers and the staff of the Grand Blanc Huntsmans club, Home - Grand Blanc Huntsmans Club (gbhuntsmans.com), all did an excellent job as usual and were a big part of our success. As I mentioned before this was our 12th year and Judy and I keep thinking about ending the shoots on a high note but something always convinces us to do one more. This year a lot of the participants have already committed to shooting next year and a lot of them have offered to contribute prizes for the raffle. So I guess in a month or so we get to start planning for next year.

I don't have a total yet because of outstanding checks that are still in the mail, ( I hope ), but the total should be north of $11,000. A bit lower than last year but with no big raffles for ammo or guns like we normally have done in the past, I am satisfied with the amount we raised.

Thanks again for keeping us in your thoughts. 👍️ Bob and Judy

When I get retired and 5th wheel mobile I may come up and shoot in your event if your still putting it on. The only times I've been to a shotgun range is for charity events. All I've ever shot is sporting clays not counting a few turkey shoots here and there.

I'm late to this post, but....................as a cancer survivor myself.............kudos to you for your effort. It's community support like that, which makes a real difference.

Everyone on this forum is welcome to come to next years shoot. But be prepared for some of the volunteers nagging you to buy raffle tickets or make a bid on the silent auction items. They can be ruthless and merciless about relieving people of their money for the cause. Judy trained them well! 😀 Bob

The last one i went to I won a 50/50 money raffle where the winner got half the total collected. I told them to keep it.
