Ouch. Glad you didn't have a severe reaction.

Lucky you! I have to keep an Epipen on hand for stings. I have found an insecticide that discourages them from building around my place. BIFEN/IT mixed at 1oz/gallon of water, sprayed twice a year will deter wasp and mud daubers. I've also noticed a lot less spiders, too.

I second the use of BIFEN.I started using it on fire ants and it is one of the few things I found that works. Now I use it around the house to keep all insects and spiders away.It works so good it is about time for some government agency to ban it.

Got bit years ago riding on a forest service road while on the ATV. Flipped up the visor to see beaver dams better and he came inside my helmet and got me on the ear. So for the rest of the ride I has holding my ice pack to my ear.

    Damm that hurt.

I spent all of last weekend taking the vinyl siding off the back of my cabin to try to find a yellow jacket nest. I finally got to it but got hit just below the left eye and both arms and hands. didint count them but it was 15 or more stings. only thing i had to wear was a hat and a flannel shirt. it helped some but some got thru it too. I hate them sumbitches !!!

Some local guy was helping his friend put a on a roof. He had a can of sprite up there with him. A yellow jacket got in the can and he took a drink. He got stung in the back of his mouth/ throat. He wasn't allergic the way some are but it didn't matter. He died before they could do anything for him.
