Okay this has my attention only in 28ga. Anyone have thoughts.

The FAIR is probably a better made gun but if you get one with ejectors and single trigger the price goes up.

The Tristar has those at this price.

Actually it's ejectors that I want I don't mind the double trigger sometimes it's advantageous.

    F.A.I.R. I believe are made in Italy and of course the Tri-star -Turkey. My FFL friend has a F.A.I.R. and he contacted the importer about an issue with the wood. They sent him a return label and sent him another shotgun, no questions asked and they backed it up 100%. The F.A.I.R. I handled was super smooth pull up and a quality firearm. I have a Tri Star 28 gauge is ok, but you know, not a head turner.

    Straight stock (English) and 20 gauge is what I like. I also like double triggers. What I don't like are no photos of an actual firearm. We've had a few complaints about delayed drop shipments, along with just complaints about drop shipping in general. If I was buying another Glock 19 I wouldn't care because they all look alike. A shotgun like this is a different proposition. The description is loaded with superlatives, but I need to see what kind of wood I'm getting. If it's too light I won't want it.

    Mark, the three F.A.I.R. s I have seen all have a darker colored walnut albeit doesn't mean they won't slip a light one in but.

    The CZ Bob White weighs two ponds more than the Tristar and one and a half pounds more then the FAIR

    I bought a TriStar 20 ga semi auto about three years ago. I would give an opinion on the quality and function, but I haven't even fired it.

    Seems to be better quality than the last pair of Remingtons I sold, but I don't think that is saying much anymore.

    I have CZ 5.5 Tri Star 5.24 and Fair 6.82.

    I was just going off the spec weights they have listed for their 28ga guns. There's no where for me to go locally and do a comparison. What I looked up was the CZ at 7.2, Tristar at 5.2 and the FAIR a at 5.7. May not be accurate.

    I know a young fellow that has a Tristar semi-auto with 3.5" chamber. It's starting to wear out but he's done a lot of shooting with it using heavy loads. I told him if he has got enough hunting in to wear out even a cheap shotgun he's a lucky boy. He lives in SD and is an avid waterfowl and bird hunter.

    Edit: I wrote the above but as i think about it it may be a Charles Daily he has. HMMMMMMM
