I will take you "OLD FARTS" , bada$$, any day , over these pansies we have running around in dresses and makeup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You old guys, were some of the baddest men to ever roam this earth. Our country owe you guys more than what you got when you finished your tours, deployments and service to our great country. All that physical training is necessary IF you intend to have to walk to the fight (or run away later). Choose the battle field and arrive in a vehicle or aircraft makes better sense.

I can't think of a better group of guy's that have "been there, done that."
Having a "Stand Off" distance capability and the wherewithal to perform in that capacity, would be devastating. (Again) I can't think of a better group of guy's to operate in that capacity. Highly trained, experienced and many, many shots sent downrange. Ballistic charts, loads of experience with a wide range of calibers, optics, etc.
Not the best group (due to our age) for up close and personal, "run and gun," encounters, but otherwise - I'd stick with this group. 👍
Uniforms? We don't need no stinkin' Uniforms. I'd wager this group has quite the range of "Outerwear" for those situations. (I know I do.)
My 2 cents. Worth what you paid for it.

Why would the guys griping about today's youth put on a uniform? I would imagine that a lot of them were wearing one long before today's youth were even alive. Of course, back then it was "I'm here to do my part", not "shoutout to all my TikTok followers, I can't figure out which bathroom to use today".

I was in the IRR for a couple of years (YEARS ago!). Got to do a couple of two-week tours (Even one three-week) but he'd have to have a good reason to call any IRR folks up so they must have specific skills he needs. It will be interesting to see what happens.

There is something seriously wrong if they are having to dip into the IRR pool.
