I finally found my 45 revolver
Today I picked up my Ruger Redhawk 45 revolver. It was in the used gun showcase on Sunday and after about 2 seconds, I bought it. I picked it up today (because of Colorado's unconstitutional 2A infringement laws) and I couldn't be happier!
Supposed to be used but it would pass for a new one. I bet the previous owner didn't put 50 rounds thru it. I plan to change that. 😀

Thats a nice looking revolver. It is 45 long Colt I take it. Just seen some 45 long Colt shells the other day at the gun counter I was at. At the price they were asking for them all I can say is bring bunches of money. lol. I had one a long time ago in the Blackhawk model, it only had the 4.5 inch barrel.No getting around it Ruger builds a well built strong gun. I got a Bisley in the stainless and 41magnum, 5.5 inch barrel right now.

45 Colt and will shoot 45 ACP with the supplied moon-clips.
I'll be reloading this one, for sure. I ordered up the dies, brass, and 255gr bullets just the other day.3 -

Perfect! A Redhawk .45 is one of my grail guns.
Is it just me, or is the Redhawk basically just a scaled-up Security Six?

Oddly enough I just traded off my 45 acp / 45 colt Redhawk a few weeks ago for these 2:
Plus some cash (on my end). I hadn't shot that Redhawk in years.

The Redhawk was a "I might visit Alaska someday" gun. I also have 10mm that would work in that role.
