Took the chains off the tractor yesterday!
And Spring broke out in all it's glory this morning...
My timing is less than optimal.

Yep, you jinxed it.

That's ok, you probably shouldn't drive on that deck anyway.

Set that tractor free

Don't need them for the fluffy stuff.

If you get any amount of snow at all you're much better off with a snow blower rather than a blade. Also, there's no cab on that critter! Are ya tryin' to freeze yer digits?
There. Did that work?

But Neo - It's the s/w 629 w/3in barrel of snow removal! It's sooooo cute! And the controls are heated.

So far it's still fluffy. Gonna go out in a bit and use it to throw some more hay in the feeder for the cows. There's a bit of a hill to get down from the shop to the barn, but not too bad. If it gets to slidin' I'll drop the rock rake on the back and get her back under control. LOL!

Mine will stay on for at least 2 more weeks.
One of the biggest 2 day snow events hit here in last week of March 2003, over 24 inches.
My neighbor an I used our dozers to open about 15 miles of state roads.

Yep, we got hit too, Neo

I was running the rock rake up and down our road yesterday, about .6 of a mile, and my kidneys were about to rattle right out of me. That's when I pulled 'em off. Boy did that make the ride smoother! I may go put 'em back on, it's not too big of a chore.

Well, I took the blower off my Kubota, and Im in the same soup. Ill wait for the sun.

It is that Global Warming, just like Al Gore said.
Oops! I mean Climate Change.

We got very lucky here yesterday. 50-75 miles north of us got 24-29 inches of snow.

Ancient history, in 1960 it snowed nearly every day in March here. My chains stay on until the mower goes on.

I can change from the bucket to the blower in about 10 minutes. The chains are a longer process that usually results in more than one busted knuckle!

Wow
That looks familiar oh because I have one same mower and blade old Henry Ford got it right
I got lucky mine blew a head gasket or may have a cracked head I did not get it repaired and did not get my chains put on as I hoped-for
but we had such a mild winter some one was looking out for me
But now it's mowing season so got to get going I have the parts and a couple spare heads so it's coming up on the project list real fast

Dundee. I well remember the snow event of 1960.
Folks were told to wave a empty container of what they needed so the chopper pilot could see it, neighbor waved a coke bottle. Another neighbor lost a cow, they dropped a bale of hay and hit it, DRT.

I don't worry about snowed in roads anymore. No place I need to go and little need for anyone to come here.
I quit mounting the 9' dozer blade and chains 3 years ago when we got the 200HP 4wd John Deere and loader.

It’s called Murphy’s law. We have all been bitten by him at one time or another. On the bright side it’s spring and the day light is getting longer.

7° this morning with 6" of fresh fluffy white stuff. This'll get the Kalifornians wonderin' why the heck they moved!

That happened here too.

I bought a older 42 hp- Massey just before winter.
It has turf tires on it because it started its life out on the country club golf course.
It has chains on it from the next owner.
I will be putting real tires on it as soon as we sell the corn.

Going to take a big risk this weekend. Planning on dropping the chains and snow plow of the tractor.
Might even switch out the studded tires to regular tires on the work truck to.

We always called it "French toast forecast" when snow was forecast.
The shelves would be wiped out of milk, bread and eggs
