Oh, the big brown eyes always work.

I cannot help but to spoil my two every now and then. They never know when I will cave to their sympathetic looks and heart melting expressions though. Keeps them on their toes and always coming up with new cuteness ideas to get some of my supper!

What, a dog that begs? It's not possible....

No, she just sits and waits for it to fall.

I will glance off to the side, and Buddy will just be quietly eyeing me with the aforementioned golden/brown eyes, staring at me quietly, while I eat, with his chin propped on a chair/couch arm. (Almost hidden, usually.)

If it is a treat, chips, popcorn, peanuts, etc. The understood ratio, is 3 or 4 for me, one for you. When he hears a bag crinkling, he comes right over. "What do we got, Dad?" šŸ¤”

He is excellent for not bothering things left on the living room coffee table, unless he is given it.

He is such a good dog, I let him play me like a fiddle. šŸ‘šŸ˜

I always gave "Willie" a little dab of vanilla ice cream in the palm of my hand. On Wednesday night ( spaghetti night with Ragu) he crawled from under his blanket in cage and put his front paws next to my knees on sofa. Was very patient and waited for me to hold one piece up in the air. He then slurped it right down just like that kid on the TV. How could anyone refuse a sweetie like this. I love you "Willie"---------------------Ray

Our dogs beg something terrible.... My mom says she's putting a table back in the dining room so she can eat in peace.

We call that ā€œThe Weakest Linkā€

The dog NEVER begs me for food, but if you are a guest in my house, there’s a good chance he will assume you are the weakest link and try his luck to see what you might drop.

On any given evening, he’s pretty sure my wife is the ā€œweakest linkā€.

One of the first things our dog(s) get taught is that when the people are eating at the table they need to be on their beds. I've had too dang many ill-mannered dogs try to climb up in my lap while I was eating to allow mine to do that.

Outside of that, our furry kids pretty much get spoiled rotten. Yesterday was Loki's 10th birthday and he got his very own campfire hot dog and a great day in the water at Ashley Lake.

My Bullmastiff's were taught not to come to the table but they would watch me from the next room. When I got up and left they just stared at me to see if I brought something for them too. Miss those guys.

Never. I don't have dogs. I have cats, they don't beg, they issue orders.

not sure I can not remember last time we at least me ate at the kitchen table ( my wife does some times ) the dogs just stand by waiting on her to share and if its any thing peanut butter they will stay focused on every bite to make sur she shares LOL

our dogs and One cat who thinks he is a dog ) don't beg but man the intense looks and sad eyes ( they sure know how to play that card ) I get from them but they know to keep some distance while were eating.

I will add our dogs and " cats" are better fed ,get more treats, than I ever did as a kid growing up😄

if spoiling our pets gains any points in the after life lets just say I will have plenty to share

Don't know exactly why but fairly sure it has something to do with that modern expression "empty nest syndrome", where our K-9's have filled the gap where our kids left us.

Our Vet keeps harping on me to cut back on the dog treats! I try my best, but it is not an easy thing for me. Changed the type and brand of dry kibble about a year ago from a grain based one to one that has a potato base with fish as a main ingredient. My Golden went from 120 pounds down to 100. Our PBGV lost about 10 pounds and both seem to have a lot more energy.

All good but now they both have very bad "FISH BREATH!" 😁
