Great! Nothing wrong with Simmons scope on a .22 rimfire. I have two.

Traded the Simmons scope, in with the "Ultra Rifle," Brother.

Just added a Firefield "Impact," 3 MOA/Circle/Crosshair reticle red dot, w/quick detach cam lock, to what I just traded for. (The Ruger SR-22)

As well as a 50 round mag, (in addition to the 25 round mag I got with it.)

Plus, I have several boxes of .30.06 ammo to trade for .270 and/or .308 ammo. πŸ‘πŸ˜

All that matters is that you’re happy with the trade. Enjoy the new Ruger.

I friend of mine has one of those little Rugers, what a fun gun to shoot. I've been wanting one for a while myself.

Nothin better than getting exactly what you went in for

I think you did good. I would have made that trade. Have fun with it. I love all my 22 rifles.

    Thanks all.

I inadvertently posted a Firearms related thread.

I will go and hang my head, in shame now.

Interesting. My model SR-22 came out in 2009. (Was discontinued after a couple years due to production costs.) New cheaper model came out, SR-22 ATI. My earlier model is much more metal, components made by Nordic Industries.

What I find interesting about mine, is that it has a full length Picatinny rail, from the receiver to the front of the Monolithic Aluminum front handguard. The only ones (after research) that I have found, only have the Picatinny rail over the receiver. Some have a small 1-2" section over the front of the handguard for the "Fold up/down" sights.

Mine not only has the full length Picatinny Rail, but it has extremely well made M16 A2 style Handguard sights. Front and rear. Also has a short Picatinny rail section mounted to the top of the carry handle.

Ive got a Firefield "Impact" red dot 4 MOA, dot, circle cross hair optic coming for it, as well as a 50 round Ruger BX-50 magazine, to compliment the BX-25, I already have.

The only ones similar to my Discontinued Model of the SR-22 are selling for $750-$899 currently on the auction side, (but) Without my full length Picatinny Rail or A2 carry handle sight set up. (For new/unfired ones.)

    I am quite happy. 😁

    Woo Hoo.

*The later generation SR-22 ATI version (new) goes for around $450.
