Well, that bounces me to another memory. When I was newly married, I lived next door to a boy of about 4 yo. His mom heard a terrible racket from the utility room and rushed in to find he had just started washing the cat in the washer. Both he and the cat survived, though.

I can relate to a lot of that

Giving well ok forcing meds in is another adventure

After many encounters over my life dealing with 5 to 10 pound house cats or basic living paper shreaders meat grinders that go from purring cute to all killing mode

it Makes me realize all the old Tarzan movies when he is fighting a big cat and only get a few scratches. Lol

Dumpster attendant here tried to help a cat out of the dumpster.

He tried putting a board in for the cat to climb out. Nope, remember this is a cat.

Next he crawls down in the dumpster to catch and save the cat. I remember that day well when I pulled up.

The fellow was cut to shreds on every piece of exposed skin.

There is a difficulty comparison that goes something like this, "ever try to shove wet noodle up a wildcats butt". Doable but not without great suffering.

My first true encouner of blood loss due to cats

When my wife and I were just married we rented a farm house it had to be a quarter mile off the road

Any way a ferel cat was kind enought to give us two kittens and head back off to the woods

We fed them made sure they were taken care care they even got some what tame

We decided to move so we did not want to just leave the cats

So last thing we did I set a couple dishes of cat food in the kitchen the cats came in I thought this is easy

So I closed the door not knowing this wad signaling the cats to switch to attack mode

I had no idea two 5 pound cats can be all teeth and claws.

after suffering and loosing just short the blood loss to need a transfusion

I managed to get the cats out side one was still bonding to me If I remember correctly

so i got in the car wounded torn up and embarrassed a couple cats kicked my butt So bad

I yelled lol like they cared

    fine just stay here

We told Tha land lord as he was a farmer any way he said no problem the cats can stay leave or do what ever

I gained a lot of respect of how a cat can skin you alive and also to wear long sleeves and gloves at the very least

I only washed a cat once & wore a pair of welding gloves to do it. Afterwards, someone told me to put an old window screen in the bottom of the tub for them to lock their nails into. It will be a cold day down below before I try it.

I've attached a story about castrating cats that fits into this thread. Everytime I read it this old farm boy gets a bad case of the belly laughs. It's only 3 pages long but that's more than I want to copy and paste unless some folks think that's the best way to share it.

let's see, it involves three full-of-life kids, l couple of town loafers and a about a hundred cats. Enjoy

This is away to solve the problem. He is a Bengal, (Asia Leopard) they don’t shed and like the water. He acted more like a dog sometimes, will follow you everywhere and come when you call him. His name is Cain.

I know what you're talking about. I had a Bengal that lived to be 13 yo. She would go deer hunting with me and either climb into the tree stand or lie at the base of the tree for hours. Her favorite fun and games were to sneak up on my beagles and slap them in the face or to ambush someone walking under a tree. Wish I could find another like her.

Pour liquid soap into the toilet, drop cat in, flush a few times, raise lid and get out of the way.

In total truth, they made those pre-packaged "wet wipes" for a lot of things, and cat washing actually can be done painlessly using them! My cat really likes getting petted with a wet wipe!

Giving your cat a bath?? How do you get all the hair off your tongue?

And people say they like cats.
