That's why I love cats. We used to have a little (and I mean LITTLE) gray tabby. She ruled the neighborhood. Any dog came near our place and she turned into some sort of creature we didn't even recognize. Her legs got stiff and grew about a foot, her hair stood on end and she made her charge. Even the neighbor's Rottweiler would run for home yelping with his short little tail tucked like, well, like a scalded dog. It was clear she had previously established the pecking order, and she was at the top!
