It's 61 deg. here in SW Arkansas, but we have a winter weather alert for tomorrow with mixed rain/sleet/snow up to .1" of accumulation from 12PM tonight until 6PM Thursday.

I'm pretty sure Walmart has run out of bread and milk!!!!! 🍞 🥛

I hope all of you in the Northern climes get through this unscathed!

Here in Mid-Michigan we are forecasted to get up to 10" of that nasty white stuff. A week or so ago we got 6" and it was so light and fluffy I could have used a leaf blower to clear the driveway. Unfortunately, it is around 33 degrees today and that 10" is going to be a wet heavy mess. After it quits snowing the temps are supposed to drop into the 20s which will turn that wet stuff into something resembling concrete. I think Puxatawny Phil is getting even with me for having disposed of a few of his brothers every year around here. Bob

We got down to 14 with crystal clear skies.

Woke up this morning and went outside and Mars was shining like a beacon.

Would have loved your 6" of new snow, neo.

We received about 7"of snow so far today. They are predicting up to 10 more in the next 24 hours. I am counting on them being wrong like they usually are most day....The problem is they might be wrong and we might get another 20"🙄

That is way to much for me. I have some friends that live south of Houghton on the Keewanaw peninsula and 2 years ago they had 215" by the end of January. Beautiful place but I'd need another home in Florida for the winter if I lived where they do. Of course the old saying is they have 9 months of winter and 3 months of bug season, so maybe I will be content just visiting them occasionally. Bob

Well at 9:30ish in N. Texas we are at 20 degrees and snowing, not much for a lot of you guys, but here they are probably going crazy, supposed to be below freezing for the next few days... no fun for us and the un-heated water trough for the horse.. I have to go get a RX filled and wish I didn't 20 mile trek one way... Slow and easy will be the motto.

Best of luck to the livestock.

We have one field the cattle are in cornstalks. No well on the property.

1000 Gallon stock tank, and we bring a sledge hammer and a hay fork to clear them a hole in the ice.

Works down to about -5 or so. But, the cattle don't drink as much water when there's snow on the ground and they're not eating hay.

It dropped almost a whole 3/8 inch of snow on us. My neighbor was out with his snowblower saving the world this morning.

Well i survived the trip to Kroger Pharmacy and got my meds, 38 mile round trip did a lot of fishtailing in a few spots, but never completely lost it average speed about 18 miles an hour over usually 60 MPH roads... not fun but the snow stopped and I gave it a shot. We ended up with less than 2 inches, but with under 20 degrees temps it was mostly ice, Gonna reach 36 degrees in a few hours and hopefully will melt it. Most schools and stores were either closed of shortened hours the DFW area just ain't used to this white stuff. By the time I got back I was ready for a few beers to take the edge off...

It was 11 below zero here this morning in northern lower Michigan. The butter in the butter dish sitting on the kitchen counter was hard as a rock. My toast took the brunt of my distain for winter!!

We're getting 4-6" every day, and have been for months. We had a nice break for a few days and now it's back. Only problem with having a deck 12' off the ground is, it's not high enough. Dogs don't even use the stairs anymore. Just step over the side down to the yard.

I made the mistake of parking a car under there one winter to get it out of the way. Couldn't have the car back until the next June.
