Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have a lot to be thankful for in spite of the occasional bump in the road. I am even thankful for this forum, which in an odd unexplainable way, is strangely therapeutic. 😊 Bob

Happy Thanksgiving to all you fine folks. It's going to rain most of the day tomorrow here, but then there is no reason for us to leave the house, so it's not a big deal.

Once in awhile something stops me in my tracks and upon reflection, I realize there is SO MUCH to be grateful for. Tonight I have a roof over my head, I have a comfy chair, I have a brand new monitor after my old one blew up, I have a nice red wine, I have good music playing, the heat works, the lights are on, I'm not sick... I could go on and on.
Then you drill down to the really serious stuff.
I have two hands that work. They're an engineering marvel.
I have a sense of smell. I can tell the stuffing tomorrow is going to be awesome.
I have two eyes that work. I can see colors and pictures of my family.
I have two dogs that love me. They'd literally do anything for me.
I haven't yet screwed up enough in life to make my kids or wife think I'm a useless bum.
There, but for the grace of God, go I. And that's the most important part...
I know God's name, and he knows mine. For that, and everything else, I am beyond thankful.
