What are the odds he comes back with a ham at all?

I don't know about bail money, but I sure hope you have a high limit on your cc. They are the best ham.

    He made it back.....whew!

It was a four hour long ordeal, but he got it handled.

I pick up the rest of our Thanksgiving food tomorrow at 10am from a local deli that has a pretty nice selection to choose from. I've got two trays of dressing with chicken, gravy, cream corn, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, fried okra, mandarin orange cake, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and a lemon icebox pie.

We've got a cabin rented at the lake in Guntersville. Parking is a HUGE issue. It only has three spots for parking, so we are going to have to meet up somewhere and drive everyone in. There are three bedrooms, but they have extra pull out beds and sofas that can sleep extras if anyone else shows up. Right now its me/Larry, my son and middle child....my aunt and her son.....and uncle and his girlfriend. I'm planning on eating enough to be in a coma and watching people fish from the fire pit area.

Grampa used to always have a Honey baked spiral sliced Ham.

Not sure what year this started but it seems he "found" it and started the family tradition of always a spiral sliced HB ham on the table during Thanksgiving nosh prior to the actual serving of the Turkey/Dressing meal.

As a male teen my capacity to engulf everything and anything allowed me to enjoy the Thanksgiving meal all day long!

    I miss those days.

He DID get the hams.....two of their largest.....AND six of their turkey breasts. Three smoked turkey and three glazed. One of the smoked turkey breasts is just for him to take to his house. We will keep a ham and two turkey breasts here and I'll take the rest to our family get together.

I've been taking pics of guns all morning, just finished the last of what starts tomorrow. I've gotten word that our food is ready to pick up now.....so I'm going to toss some "presentable" clothes on and pick it up. I'll come back here and add the pics to the auctions and then get ready to head to the cabin. I just hope I can stay out of things until tomorrow at 1pm when everyone is supposed to eat!

Wow, that's a lot of food. I haven't received my invite yet - probably lost in the mail.

YALL.....I totally forgot I ordered a smoked turkey from the guy with the smoker up the road. So that was just crammed in the fridge with all the rest. I'm almost done with my uploads so I can head out. This is going to be a MUCH needed break.

Anyone wanting to run to Guntersville and show up to eat is WELCOME!!!!

Thanks for the invite!!! But at today's gas prices...I'll have to pass..Embrace your much needed break!!! Our house is smelling like thanksgiving already...😁 (besides I don't have a clue where Guntersville is!!!) 🤣

I will assume Guntersville is in Alabama and so by the time I could get there from Texas, with all the food you will be having, I will again assume you'd be all asleep... enjoy your happy Thanksgiving time with the family!
