did anyone estimate his age? i'm thinking probably 5-6. more than likely the ol boy was getting old and this probably was his last massive rack. any more the headgear would get really gnarly. impressive deer for sure. any guess on field dressed weight?

No, he’s a young deer. Has the same genetics as a buck they’ve seen before. Approx wt crowding 200#+. He’s well fed from the local corn fields. DOW will know age when checked in via of teeth. I’ll guess 3, maybe 4yr old.

Yep, that’s one you would poke just for his uniqueness.

congrats to him for getting him, many never get to see one like that, let alone get one.

That's an impressive rack not to be any wider than it is, It's a wide as this buck was going to get of course. I wich I could see one that nice this year, hell any year for that matter.

Those narrow, straight up racks score higher than you think.

Here's one I shot years ago, typical. He was old. Big sway back, huge head. Jaw aged him at six years old.

With broken times, it still measured 140" and change.

OP, that is a great buck!

I know, width is just one measurement. Nice deer BTW. Just commenting on the way the rack in the OP formed, how heavy it is with mass.

Neighbor up the hill has one, similar, that measures over 200".

    Mind boggling.

The OP's rack is just amazing!
