Music! J.S. Bach would be nodding and figuring out how to use that 6-part cadence in a fugue.

Wow, thanks for posting. Made my day.

There's nothing else like a CBX.

I had no idea a six cylinder Honda would turn that hard. I had a shop owner insist I ride a Valkyrie for a day with straight pipes. It was fun for a couple of hours but I pawned it off on a buddy and went back to my nice quite ST1100.

I also owned a 1982 Honda CBX Super Sport. I left it as stock as possible, save for a couple of VDO gauges. Bought it used from a private owner (original). It only had 3600 miles on it when I bought it.

Got it for $1800.00. That was a steal! I kept it for about three years or so if I recall, and then sold it when it had 12K+ miles on it. I got $4500.00 for it.

    That's one bike I've always regretted selling...........😫

While it was no super bike by todays standards, I had a lot of fun with this little number.

Picked it up for $200 from a co-worker with 780some miles on the clock. Cleaned the carbs, cleaned and flushed the brake system, gave it a new set of Avon Venom's and disabled the oil injector and ran pre-mix (I don't trust automatic oil injectors).

Bad pic, but you probably recognize an RD400 when you see one.

She sat in Nick's garage from 1975 until I bought it in 2005. Once I figured out what I had and had it running I tried to give him another $400 for it. Nick turned it down claiming "I shouldn't be riding at my age".

Those things with a good rider were big bike killers. One of the first bikes we had was a RD350.

I had a CYCLE magazine that featured a CBX that had been "built". The article said it made 325 hp and was streetable.

From what I recall, it had a super-charger on it.

But this one is faster from point A to point B
