Heated Socks
The cold weather doesn't really bother me much except my feet when on the deer stand. Even with good insulated boots and good wool socks thinking about trying the Deer Snow heated socks has anybody else use the heated socks and what are your thoughts of them

It's been decades, but the old ones that used a couple D-cell batts were awful. Not only did they not last long, but the wires were horrible to walk on. Today's with rechargeables might be better.
I've used the chemical pads and like them. You can get them just for toes that go on top, or full-length sole ones that go under your feet. Toe ones are best for walking. The full size ones can bunch up if you walk a lot, though. They're best for stand sitting.

Even in my 30s stand sitting was tough because of cold feet. tried just about every insulated boot, hi tech sock, heaters and whatever gizmo was touted to stop cold feet. long walks to the stand only made time spent on stand much shorter. then an old timer clued me in on the problem. foot sweat coupled with tight constriction of too much footwear! I began to do this . wear a minimum of socks--fancy dress hosiery is perfect walking to the stand. get situated in stand and remove boots and socks. let boots and feet air dry, when comfortable put on a clean dry pair of wool or high tech warmth holding socks but keep boots loosely tied. even better heat keeping happens when a set of those BOOT BLANKET over boots are used on stand. sleeping bags for the feet if you will. use the walking boots for walking. the boot blankets for sitting and stop the cold feet forever!

I found it best to wear light socks and light boots, walking out to the stand, after putting antipersperent on my feet.
Then I change to pack boots and heavy socks when I get to the stand.
My feet would always sweat profusely, then freeze.

My wife uses the rechargeable insoles and loves them. Can't remember what brand.
I wear a pair of Red Head insulated boots with a pair of Fox River hunting socks and stay comfortable to single digits with them. They are the warmest, lightest, most comfortable hunting boots I have ever owned.

Something I use that helps are a pair of silent stalk boot covers. Mine are scent lock brand and I bought them to help keep stand noise down when I was hunting with a bow. They also keep dried mud or other debris from falling if you need to shift your feet to get in position for the shot, Bow hunting is close work and they do help. As a side benefit they help keep feet warm on cold mornings. They add a layer between my boots and the metal tree stand as well as another layer on insulation. You can also put some of the chemical warmers in them where ever you want as there is plenty of room.
Like was said above enough room in your boots and good wool socks.
I've never tried the electric feet warmers so if you do post a report.

Cold feet stem from a cold environment. I suggest moving your stand indoors.

If it is a long hike to stand put on heated socks and slip on Sorrels with heavy felt liners when you get there. Been on the ice at -30 Degrees with this set up.--------------------Ray

Antiperspirant. Stops the sweating.
Living where I do, I've got plenty of experience with cold weather and feet. Luckily I was born immune to the cold but my friends use these for cold weather:
1) Norwegian Lobben boots. Felted wool, put in double insoles and you'll never get cold. Note they are nowhere NEAR waterproof so avoid overflow and streams/puddles. https://www.piasweaters.com/category-s/1854.htm

the old versions like 40 years ago used up battery's fast . I would wager new ones are a lot better .
my youngest son has a electric heated jacket used it at least several years now and likes it , Milwaukee brand based on that I would say socks have advanced also

As above, Mickey Mouse boots with felt liners and there is no need for electric socks. Keep the boots loose enough to slide on and off. I never had cold feet!!

I bought a pair from Scheels a couple of years ago.
They use a 3.7 volt rechargeable battery.
It has 3 settings and is controlled by a remote for the settings.
I only use them on low.
They also had a pair that you could control by bluetooth from your phone .
about $80.
I love them.
I use a pair of nylons I got from the hospital when I had one of my hip replacement surgeries as a base layer.
I wear them with a pair of Artic Pro Mucks.
If its really cold, below 20, and I'll be in stand for a while, I'll slide my feet into a walmart bag first, then into the boot.

Gerbing heated insoles and rechargable battery. You feet will NEVER EVER be cold again. Bought my wife a pair about 10 years ago, still going strong. Did have to buy a new battery. They make a cable that can run them off a 4 wheeler or motorcycle. They have ALL kinds of heated gear, maybe for motorcycle riders. Works AWESOME in the deer stand with the battery.

These have a cable that you run down you pants and put the battery in your coat or pocket. The ones we have go up to 110 degrees, and they DO get that hot! WELL worth the investment!

Mickey Mouse boots are black while bunny boots are white. Same boot, just different color. Was issued a pair when I was stationed in Alaska. Hated the bleening things with a passion. Give me a pair of the issue mukluks any time.

The mickey mouse boots work well but you need dry socks. When you walk in them you sweat. Get on stand change your socks. If you get cold change your socks. Remember you loose heat through head hands an feet. Keep those warm an dry . You will be warm. Also use something on ur neck.
