Kenosha riots- Kyle Rittenhouse
Anyone following this Rittenhouse trial? It's looking more and more like this should have never come to trial. Dude he shot just testified he pointed his gun at Kyle before Kyle shot him. LOL. The guy was a witness for the prosecution. LEWLZ!
Jeez, I feel bad Kyle has had to go through this kangaroo circus.

Actually, he was there offering medical aid... to both sides... and started being threatened and followed and then assaulted, which in turn he defended himself.

I've been following the reporting of the trial and think it is a joke. I think he brought on the attacks by having an AR slung on his shoulder but when attacked had every right to defend himself. All three of his attackers acted aggressively by either grabbing for the gun, hitting him in the head or pointing a gun at him. I think it was stupid for him to be there in the first place but immaturity shouldn't be a crime. Bob

Immaturity or not, he took two lives, and he should have NEVER been there in the first place. He had no business being there, and doing what he did. 17 yrs. old? Where in the Hell where his parents?
He needs to spend some time in prison.
I agree he shouldn't have been there. If there he shouldn't have been armed. But after doing those stupid things should he have let the first guy take his gun and do god knows what with it? Should he have let the second guy continue to beat him in the head with a skateboard? Should he have let the third guy shoot him? The vet that was with Rittenhouse had some maturity and experience and said the first guy that started it all was just a jerk and not a threat. Rittenhouse had neIther the maturity or experience to know this and felt threatened. That's probably because the guy saw a kid and thought he could intimidate or overpower him easily. I think a case can be made for self defense but it won't excuse the stupid actions made that led up to what ultimately happened. Bob

In my own opinion, Rittenhouse stepped up to do what all freedom loving Americans should have done. He stood with friends to protect their property, and lives, from violent, destructive mobs when law enforcement was unable, or unwilling to do it. When faced with deadly force, he maintained possession of his weapon, placed rounds accurately from an awkward position and put down 3 worthless thugs, 2 permanently. We all watched for months as lawless rioters sacked our cities, burned businesses, violently assaulted innocent civilians, destroyed our public monuments, and attacked our police and emergency responders. In many cases, local, state and federal politicians gave it complete approval. If there had been 1,000 more Patriots like Kyle, antifa would have retreated back to the safety of momma's basement and the blm bunch might have just quietly continued to cash their welfare checks. America would be better for it.

When I was in the army I knew some 18 year olds that shouldn’t have been where they were, and had no business doing what they were doing. But they believed in their country, and did what they thought was right to protect it.

Those that were eliminated were no loss to the human race. Yes, he chose to put himself in the situation. He did not choose to be attacked.
Carrying a rifle does not make him the aggressor.
Odds are, he will be convicted of something. I do not believe he should.

The kid probably shouldn't have been where he was but he wasn't violating any laws. The convicted felon with a gun WAS committing another felony. Think about what you're saying and consider that one is legal and one is illegal.
Would YOU want to be judged in a self defense scenario based on the idea that you should not have given the criminal a chance to assault you?

A buddy of his bought it and then gave it to Rittenhouse to use / borrow. Rittenhouse stated that the owners of a car lot had asked him and some others to guard their car lot. That was not true, as the owner's said they asked no one for help.
He's a moron! There's nothing justifiable about what he did, or how he conducted himself.

Most of us had a rifle when we were 17 years old. I simply do no understand some of the comments in this thread. 17 year olds absolutely have a right to own a rifle in the USA, period, simple. Because we have unconstitutional laws prohibiting the purchase from an FFL does not equate to a 17 year old not having the right to own one. I bought firearms from people when I was younger than that.
No wonder the gun control crowd is winning.
As for this boy being not qualified in someone's opinion to render medical assistance doesn't change that he in fact had done so on the day of this event. He also extinguished a fire. He wasn't looking for trouble but he damn well protected himself from it when it found him.
Being 17 isn't a crime.
His motives should not be in question.

But Meadows said a lot of the violence Kenosha experienced could have been prevented had Evers agreed to stand up to the rioters sooner.
He “clearly wants riots,” Meadows said of Evers. “It is out of control and it can’t be allowed to continue.”

Well somehow he became an internet commando. Found his information online what was going on in Kenosha thru friends online according to testimony. Then he decided to go there and start Policing. Well he should have left the Policing up to the Police. If they needed any help they would have called their brothers from other locations..or the National Guard . And then claimed he was there for medical purposes. Baloney , He took an AR looking for a fight to the town and got bashed up with a skateboard . And riddle me this.. what dog in the fight did he have? He was not protecting HIS property.
This is a typical case of taking the Law into your own hands. And it will cost him dearly when this is thru. He killed two people and injured another. Again the Police was doing what they could and it was NO business of Kyle's.

Just a couple of weeks ago we were discussing people not standing up for what is right and helping. Watching a woman get raped, another assaulted etc. What stake did these people being condemned have in the victim? None, so why should they get involved right? Yet they were condemned here for "not being men".
When is comes to the rioters people here say "they better not come to my town". Well they came to the town where this kid worked.
