400 Private Planes?

Scotland's Sunday Mail, citing aviation sources, reported that more than 400 private jets were expected. They are said to be shuttling more than 1,000 VIPs and their staff to the talks - which, according to the conference website, seek to "bring together world leaders to commit to urgent global climate action."

Maybe they should do a "Zoom" call! But then they wouldn't be able to kiss each other's rings! (or other things💋)

    I saw one headline that claimed that gaggle of jets put out more carbon than all of Scotland normally emits in a year.

    I think that's likely a dubious claim, but there's no denying the irony of the situation.

    Biden flew in on FOUR large jets. His 747, a duplicate 747, and two C17 Globemasters. Inside the C17s were 85 vehicles to shuttle his entourage around.

    How is this different than Medieval sinners buying Indulgences from the Church?

    Also it should be added...the two largest polluters on the planet refused to come to this particular summit, Russia and China.


    Probably better they didn't come, the USA would probably give them 2 trillion dollars each for a promise of them trying harder to reduce emissions 100 years from now.
