Ya know, I like to think I'm as thrifty and inventive as the next guy, but it never ceases to amaze me the crap some people do. A fella my dad knew tried the irrigation pipe thing as a stack for a D7 Cat. It didn't last long either.

Town up the road a piece called Princeville had a tire fire years back. About 40 years worth of dumped in a ravine tires from a tire shop . Took about a month to burn it all out . Owners are still digging out from under the air quality fines

Way way back in the day you could get away with just blaming the COW for starting a big fire! Pretty sure that Old Mother Leary also collected Colman lanterns! 😁

not far, 60 miles one way and 67 the other.
We used to live in Tetonia, 6 miles north of Driggs, still have lots of family and friends in Teton valley.
He live in Driggs proper or outlying area like Bates, Cache, Darby, stateline, etc?

Looks like they live around Packsaddle.
if you look closely in the picture of you and wife, just over her hoody and the road, you can see the ski runs of Grand Targhee.

Yes sir, they actually do live on Packsaddle. It was spring, also been there during the winter, same ride but on a snowmobile.
My wife's brother and his wife ski Targhee alot.

If you follow Packsaddle road up above The Kay place, which I’m reasonably sure that’s the road in picture with you and the missus. When you get to fork in the road, turn south towards Horseshoe, that chunk of country to the West all the way to the divide between Horseshoe and Packsaddle was my favorite Idaho spring bear hunting area, because of its East facing position, it broke open in the spring earlier than some of our other spots.
I put My kids and several of nephews on their first Bear in there.
Did you venture into Packsaddle lake or up onto Relay ridge yet?
