    A taser like this? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/918817698

This looks like it would suck to get hit with too. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/917037025

My brother in law retired from Corrections. He said when they took their night sticks, things went to pot.

There's probably a bit of truth to that one.

This year Ct. got something right. I have had a small flashlight/ zapper from Cabelas for around 12 yrs. It was verboten and never left the house. Now it is legal for permit holders.

@jimdeere the first problem is when they started calling them "batons."

Not to be picking nits wicha, but there are no NON-lethal weapons- some are less lethal. Problem is, they may also be less effective.

With a Taser, you are betting that BOTH barbs are going to penetrate clothing, and actually reach flesh. Does not always happen. You are also betting that you are not trying to hit someone in a car. Or that you did not just tase the driver that is wearing a gasoline soaked shirt (yeah, that happened. WHOOF!)

When Taser first offered products for civilians, they wouldn't work unless you first registered your Taser with the company. And, actuating the Taser spread micro-confetti so that local law enforcement knew who you were & where you live.

There used to be an outfit that made taser shotgun shells. You could plunk one into a malicious offender from a distance then run up and kick him while he was down and twitchin'.

I saw a LEO taser a loud mouth that wanted to fight the officer. When the tough guy got up off the ground he had a completely different attitude.

Considering how a recent trial just came out, which do you carry because you would not want to carry both.

Still believe that baton is a very good deterrent, especially if a person is trained on how to use and they use it properly.
