Don't know where your "here" is but we had semi-trucks blown over in Utah yesterday. When it gets really windy here, we get trains blown over. No joke.

At least you aren't in a pop-up tent camper! I experienced that once. Does not make for restful slumber!

They're calling for up to 99mph winds in Nebraska and Iowa today.

Expecting mid 70's today in Central MO...winds are predicted to top 50 MPH... Everything has been put away, tied down or moved to a better place.. Weird weather for mid December for sure...

That same storm is supposed to come through here also. I hope it's not as bad as the one last week.

96 mph today. Lost some shingles, afraid to go look today, but I will tomorrow.

We are also getting ferocious winds here in northern lower Michigan. The power has flickered several times but so far it is continuing. My place is surrounded by fully mature Red Pine trees and seeing those things bend like they've been doing is dang right scary!

I spent a bit of the AM getting my generator started. Battery for elec. start was dead so I jumped with the pickup. Still no go. Had to remove and clean the spark plug and BINGO! Up and running. I will let it run even having power and burn up the old gas.

Had an 8:30 AM surgical appointment today at the dermatologist 45 miles away that I called to cancel. About the same time I get a call from them saying they have to reschedule my surgery for another day. The office lost power!
