Mission Complete: Filled the Freezer/Buck Tags!
Finished filling the buck tags this week with these fellas on two VA state park management hunts:
They were both about 80-90 yard shots with very limited windows of opportunity, but the H&R Ultra Slug Hunter came through again, sending those slugs dead on the money!
Been a good year - 1 with the crossbow, 2 with the Air Saber, and now 2 with shotgun. I can’t recall the last time I reached max freezer capacity!

Good shooting, enjoy the bounty. I have two of those shotguns now and several more are owned by family. They've given us good service.

Yep, the state park management hunts are shotgun (slugs) only, and they make you qualify at 50 yards too.
While I would generally prefer rifle, there are no shots in the VA woods that I have ever had or seen that the H&R Ultra could not handle. It is a true track driver.

I didn’t see any. Seemed like most had pumps. I sure wouldn’t mind getting ahold of one of the Marlins myself if I ever saw one at a good price.
