Raleigh North Carolina trip set for December 13th.....and now Roanoke too....anyone else in???
I've got a couple stops set for the North Carolina trip....December 13th. If anyone wants me to drop by or wants to meet up....shoot me an email and we'll make it happen.
Edit.....we are moving this one from the 12th to the 13th.

I-20 is a heck of a long way from Raleigh.
What are you running, I-20 to I-85? or I-10 to I-77. I-77 to I-40 should be a lesser headache.

I'm losing it.....I've been on the phone today with about 5 people trying to sort out routes to different places. Its not I20.....wow, was that a mess up. Its I20 to Atlanta and I85 north

Ok....so now we are heading up on the 12th, making one stop on the way.....staying in Raleigh for the night and stopping in on one person the morning of the 13th....THEN....we are heading to Roanoke, 3 hours north. I'll probably stay in Knoxville or Chattanooga the night of the 13th. I'm taking someone with me on this one.

I 85 north is a mess from Spartanburg SC to Gaffney SC. The lanes are tight, barriers on both sides of the road and the road is all messed up. Have your driving gloves on pulling a big trailer and be prepared to be stopped for long periods of time if there is a wreck. I always fill up at before I get there and have some chow and water if I get stopped. One time a year ago I was stopped for 4 hours going south on 85, its a single lane with barriers on both sides, its a little better now as they have 2 single lanes going south.
I will wave at you because I am going to GA that day. Be safe and good luck.

When we went to Virgina a few months back it was orange barrels everywhere.....I guess that is what they call progress????
