Arrggghhh
The incisions are already itching from my surgery on Thursday. I want to scratch but know better. Five holes with nine stitches total. Pain is tolerable so I'm not taking anything at the moment. Might take some Tylenol when I go to bed.

Glad it isn't hurting to much but sometimes I think pain is more tolerable than a nagging itch. By all means take an nsaid like your Tylenol to keep any inflammation knocked down because it is always better to be ahead of the curve. Stay healthy. Bob

About six weeks ago, I tore my left thumb almost completely off. Had one surgery three weeks ago and need one more. He took one pin out, but still have some in. The itching is driving me crazy. I will get about 50% use of my thumb after it heals. I won't be able to bend it anymore

I've done things to probably tie Susie in injuries, ( well... never a Nerf incident ), but I have never almost ripped off an appendage! Hope you heal up as good as possible. Bob

Tylenol isn't an NSAID. Ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen are common over the counter NSAIDs. There are a host of prescription NSAIDs.
Suisie, OTC Benadryl (diphenhydramine) will help the itch but it will make you sleepy.

You are correct sir. I knew that but I guess I just kind of lump them together because even if their way of working is different, they can be used for a lot of the same symptoms. Good call on the Benadryl because for most it will slowly provide relief. Bob
