Pull the button out, use the knob to select a station, push the button in. Repeat with next station, and so on.
And I already know I am old. 😮

That must be one of them new fangled ones cause its got that fancy FM stuff on it. My first couple of cars only had AM but that was O.K. because that was where the rock&roll stations were.
Back to your original question, yup I do but I'd have to think about how to do it on a recently made one. Bob

I could program those. The clock on my current car is still on Daylight Saving time. It will be fine come Spring......

Sounds like us right now. The remote we get from the cable company is broke, the cable box will turn on and change channels but the TV cannot be turned on by the remote.
So I have to turn on the TV and adjust volume manually. Which means I have to get my butt out of the chair to do it.
My niece and nephew were over for Thanksgiving and told them they what they had to do to watch TV.
I said now you know what it was like when I wanted TV in the 50's and 60's. I should have told them they could only choose between three channels being NBC, CBS and ABC.

Speaking of remotes sw0320, anyone remember the old Zenith remote that worked by tuning forks. The TV could hear and understand the fork frequency to do it's job.

My wife has an aftermarket radio in her car.I was driving it yesterday and was reaching for something and bumped the radio and turned it on.I had to call my son so he could tell me how to turn it off.

Like bobjudy said, it isn't that "old-fangled" if it's got FM and DOESN'T have the Civil Defense triangle!
Remember well the sound of some vehicles going by my AM radio -- I could hear every cylinder fire a mile away.
When I got married we took her car on our wedding trip -- a Chevy Monte Carlo with and AM/8-track. Picked up an "FM converter" for the 8-track.

Our family had a TV remote 60 years ago. They told me to get up & go do it for them.
Heck, it was a treat to go to the neighbors on Sunday evening to watch Disney in color.

Back in the day, we had a remote for our TV. Her name was Michelle. She was glad when lightning hit our antenna and blew up our TV because we had to get a new one that came with a handheld remote.

Our first TV didn't need a remote. There were two channels and mom would tell dad what we were watching before he sat down and that was it.

Just had one channel but it kept us busy adjusting the horizontal and roll on the screen.
Didn't know what a color tv was until the early 70's.
Wow how good it made some of the tv stars(ladies)look.

austin20, If I remember correctly, it was before wonder bar. I don't think that there was a scan button on the radio head, just the foot button.

When I was a kid my dad's car had a radio but you had to wait for the tubes to warm up before it would play AM stations only. My first car was transistorized but don't remember if it had FM.

Did you know that if over 20mph, you pushed the reverse button in half way on a 57 Dodge transmission, only the reverse lights would come on? We knew, when some one was tailgating & Dad said, "Watch this."

when my wife and I first marred we picked up a old ( new to us ) TV at a auction with a remote .. first one we ever had even the ones we grew up all kids were the remotes .. at home funny now looking back because I have to take every thing apart the remote was just a upgraded ( fancy ) toy clicker like the kids use to play with with a flat spring steel strip I am I sure it was " tuned" to a frequency for the receiver

Back in the days of VCR's I bought a Zenith TV VCR combo set with a 19" screen to use in my camper. Used it for a couple years and it did what it was supposed to do until the remote went on the fritz. Without it, the TV was worthless. There were no built in knobs or buttons to operate channels or volume control!!
I bought a universal remote but it would not connect to my TV! Tried to get a new one from Zenith but my model had been discontinued. Pretty sure that old set still sits in a closet down in my basement along with several old laptops and various electronic do dads from the past.
