Yeah! And shove it over a cliff!

You guys are cruel! I like the idea but it better be a fiberglass reproduction bed. Otherwise the weight cantilevered from the wall couldn't be supported by just three 2x4's or even 2x6's.

So you're saying a Chevy tailgate could morph into a ... Fix Or Repair Daily !

gesshots, There are way too many trucks that already fall into the fix or repair daily category (you used the capitals in your definition). ๐คฃ I'm just saying that it's a clever idea, no matter what brand of truck, but think it probably can't be done with original metal parts. I wonder if that's a real picture or just created.

I should add that I'm a GM retiree and can easily see that truck brands have a huge following. I'm OK with that and don't try to influence anyone on their purchase. I simply don't care. GM treated me good when I took an early retirement from Allison Gas Turbine in 1992. After 30 years of receiving my pension I have a certain loyalty.

+1, It is a clever idea !
I really have nothing against Ford Trucks.
My first choice would be a GMC Sierra ... ๐

GMC? You have a bit more money than I gesshots. ๐

I always said that I would rather drive a Ford than push a Chevy any day.

Not to start anything here guys but I got to looking at austin20's original post subject. Does he mean that a Chevy leads the rest of the pack down the road because they can't keep up? Just looking for clarification here folks. ๐คฃ

GMC is nothing more than a Chevy in evening clothes. Never saw much to justify the premium price though,
Frankly all the bells and whistles are lost on me. They cost a lot of money to repair or replace too.
I would purchase bare bones Chevy and spend the saved money in the after market. I have no need for heated / vibating seats, back up camera display and fancy talking computers, etc.

You guys are brutal.
6 -
Pfffffffft. Buncha wankers. The REAL trucks are made by Land Rover. Mine has 400,000 miles and still doesn't burn oil.
That dropping tailgate needs a switch so when it's down the brake lights are on.
12 -
That makes it easier to find people to help push , cause ya know ya gonna be stuck somewhere

Ford dealer ships around here gives a puppy with each purchase, So you will have someone to walk home with when the Ford breaks down.
Ford dealers also doing a BBQ grill in the front as a dealer add on so you can fix supper whilst waiting on a tow truck.
For those that think a GMC is bells and whistles, you need to go the Furd dealership and look at their 90,000.00 top end trucks.
TV adds says there are more more Fords on the road than any other vehicle. Agree, they can't make it home.
Cracked Head, Every Valve Rattles, Oil Leaks, Eats Tires.

Having that tailgate bar in my mancave could be dangerous! I'd probably fall asleep and wake up suddenly seeing that thing and slam on my brakes!! Once knew a trucker who did this at a truck stop and broke his foot! ๐ฎ

RAM "Truck of the Year" 3X. There is a reason. I WAS a Chevy Truck guy for 50+ years.
My uncle in Mineral, Virginia (Apple Grove) who is a top shelf Mustang Restorer says" If you listen very carefully all you can hear in the quiet of the night is the sound of the Chevys rusting away". I concur, first hand experience. His helper carries a bicycle in bed of his Chevy for a back up system.---------------------------Ray
PS: I tried very hard for two years to find something i did not like on the RAM.
- I like the toe cut outs on the Chevy bumper vs the kick down step on left of the RAM. I like to enter bed from both sides of truck. Ram took something simple and made it complicated.
- Changing oil filter. On Chevy upper left. Easy peasie. On Ram upper right. I wrap filter in jiffy bag and let strap wrench protrude above frame in front. PIA
Otherwise, Zero problems with Ram. At age 79 maybe I should start letting someone else service my truck.

From the headline I was expecting a picture to someone pushing a truck.
