I sold my airplane and now I am irked
I sold my Cessna 172H for twice what I paid for it, that sale got me out of a horridly ran airport that has become little more than a storage area for junk cars and the resulting drunks having beer parties working on the junk cars driving cars in taxi ways.
Now for the part that irks me. Since I sold the Cessna I decided to play the lottery weekly to gain the funds needed to order a brand new Cessna 182 with full glass panel. Well, I ain't won so I am still short one airplane. When I do win and place my order I figure it will be only about $700,000 for a new one. Mere pocket change for a winner of 400 million bucks.
Well, gotta go now, the gas station is open and I need to give them my 2 bucks so I cam win enough to place the order. Wish me luck!

In order to keep a long-running gun forum tradition alive, we must now tell you that a Cessna 182 is junk, nothing but carp. Nothing less than a Lear Jet is good enough.
Only problem with a Lear is the headroom. I'm 6'5" and CANNOT fit in the cockpit. Besides, who makes floats for a Lear? I mean c'mon. Look at it sensibly.
What you WANT is an A-10. First in line for departure from the county strip, guaranteed.

Yep I worked for the old coot. Great guy.
I came into my airport one day and there on the runway was Merrill’s Widgeon sitting there with a big long skid mark behind it! He had done a boo boo, landed with the gear up! I landed on the taxiway and went to help Jack it up and lower the gear. He was embarrassed but humble as hell. He really was a peach of a guy.

Buy a super yacht with a helicopter instead and join the big boys club, then get an island for yourself and family and establish your homestead until the bottle neck passes in about 10 years from now, Just watch out for typhoons, volcanoes tidal waves and earth quakes. 😁

No that's the coat I wear during the month when it's not snowing... It's raining.
