Went thru the local Wally World Tuesday & it was pretty well stocked. "It's 18 miles away,,,, at the 3rd traffic light."

Wal-Mart and China have been strolling hand-in-hand for a number of years, I won't feel sorry for them if they go under, It'll help any towns main street business dollars to stay local and circulate instead of going to Bentonville, Ark..

W have several Wally Worlds here. The one I went in the other day has a full gun department, with ammo stocked. I didn't look to see how much of what, as I don't need any. Mostly full shelves everywhere else except the computer department, which was pretty bare except for high-end Windows units and Chromebooks.

We were there Monday....plenty of basic groceries and household items we needed...

There were however NO saltine crackers of any size, type or brand..

Must be a saltine cracker shortage , none at the grocery store for pickup either

There's a Wally World about 3 miles from where I live. They sure were a big help over the past year and a half delivery groceries for us when June was battling her illness.

When I go into the pharmacy at Walmart I feel like Norm on The TV show Cheers because everybody knows my name since I was in there picking up medicine so often. They always tried to get me in and out of there as quick as they could cuz they knew I had to get back home. They are a real good group of people that work in that pharmacy.

Noticed sometime back not long ago that as battery prices go up so does the failure rate on my batteries that are out of warranty.

Did a jaw drop when I first noticed the price jump.

Noticed the pinch on battery prices. Makes you wonder how cheap these new electric cars will be. Walmart sold the Everstart Max 3 yr. about 1/2 of what Autozone or advance auto or other parts places sell their 3 yr batteries for.

Rural King has the best battery prices by far.

I was discussing the general lack in inventory this past week. It's pretty much systemic.

Its absolutely incredible what I am witnessing happening in our society! People belly aching about WMT. then see what some of those same people are doing here on GB. com buying things up and then trying to sell them here for 5 and ten times what they paid for it! Thank the Lord for WMT at least they are not becoming a criminal interprize

I shop there when I can and buy the same products that are in other stores for more money.

Shopping online for my Mom and having it delivered is convenient

B Hunter, I will say it again, if idiots would not pay the gouged price there would not be any price gougers.😮

Wall mart is a last ditch effort for me. They are guilty of overpricing to. They have train loads of special run items and everyday mom and pop can't compete with wholesale prices. Little man goes under, Walmart is free to charge whatever profit margin they like.

You are free to shop at the Mom and Pop and keep them afloat with your dollars if that's what you choose to do. Most people need to save as much as they can - especially now. We shouldn't blame people for shopping at discount stores.

As for auction prices, there is no rhyme or reason to why some people bid what they do.

Heart breaking to drive around the country and see all the deserted and run down store fronts.

Remember I said country, not the big cities and inside the belt way of DC, they live in a different world.

I can count at least 12 withing a 5 mile radius of here.

I forgot to mention on the 107 dollar battery with tax.... Wife gave me 55 Dollars of Walmart gift cards she had sent to her free.

  • Butchdog2

Better hold on, the wife may want to charge you for the gift cards with interest.

I'd say it is "Their" money! 😊 Now, pretty sure Uncle Sammy may want a portion of those gift cards back in TAXES! Let's see.......Gift tax, sales tax, recycled battery tax, gas taxes getting there, and oh! almost forgot the income tax those "free" cards added to the pile!
