I probably shouldn't be so picky but it is my understanding that H&R didn't manufacture M1's until well after WWII so the 1944 date in the description is in error... Only Winchester and Springfield made WWII Garands. Not that it matters since anyone who would want an H&R M1 would know this. Good luck with your auction.

I wish I could focus on anything enough to remember things like dates or eras things were made or companies that combined to make or import things, calibers that were offered in various models. One day I'm going to sell a thing with a description that says something like "pre war victory model factory cerakote high cap with correct Jamaican scope, includes certificate signed by Putin's neighbor and reloading dies.....no box."

I am VERY thankful that people allow me to help them with their sales. Thursday night is always a huge ordeal. No matter how much I get done ahead of time, every Thursday is a long LONG day. We have a pretty good routine here. I have help from people that I couldn't do all of this without. I actually tried to hire a 4th person last week, he worked one day and let me know he was retired and had no plans to work again....but he did a great job that one day I actually thought he was trying to pull my leg when he started saying he wasn't coming back the next day. I have no clue why he came the one day if he knew he wasn't intending to work beyond that????

I retired in 2010 from my PART time job of working the gun counter for a major retailer. It was supposed to be a couple of days a week until Judy could retire from the post office. Part time was at least 40hrs/week including most weekends. Selling guns, checking in guns, shipping guns, maintaining the logs and everything else that needed to be done. This went on for 12 years and when I gave my notice they asked why I was leaving. I told them that I must be a slow learner because it took me that long to figure out they weren't going to let me only work a couple of days a week. I do miss it sometimes and if the dang commute from Michigan wasn't so long I'd knock on your door looking for work.😀Bob

I had imagined that this guy was going to work a couple days a week....seriously. I was going to get him to list the "non gun" stuff that comes in with all the guns we deal with. Once I'm caught up I don't think it would be weekly....maybe a few days here and there. For now, it would be a couple days a week for a couple months probably. I'm a little behind in listing the ammo and such here. Guns I can schedule out pretty easily to get everyone's things done properly. Its making the time to list things like three boxes of ammo, a holster, a group of scopes and such that is so hard to do.
