Looking for Selling Advice in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area
I am selling ammo that was left after selling my dad's large collection of guns. I have a large variety of older ammo for very specific older guns (not the 9mm, 22 or 45's that everyone wants). I signed up here to start selling but am not sure if I can do local pick up only. Also, with each type of ammo I have new in box (with several different brands) as well as reloads so I am not sure if I need to post each box/bag separately or can I sell as a group??
Thanks for any advice, as you can tell I am not in my comfort zone with this!

I do not see why you can't list an auction for local pickup only. I'm pretty sure I have seen such auctions on GB. As far as selling the reloads, it is considered bad practice to fire someone else's non commercial reloads. No matter how good the reloader was, there is always the nagging question, did he do it right? List the reloads as "To be salvaged for components". Then if the buyer chooses to shoot them, it's on him.
Put good clear pictures along with complete, and accurate descriptions in your auctions. Good luck with your auctions.

All of the reloads are from the Tulsa Gun shows and are packaged and labeled. Dad belonged to several gun clubs there and only bought from people he knew or knew through a friend. Would they be considered a commercial reload??

When you list the auction, you can sell the ammo by the box, but let the buyer choose how many they want to purchase at the listed price. List the reloads in lots.

Contact the gun clubs and they might have a way to internally advertise the ammo for sale and members might know what he's got and want it. Whole lot easier than the auction route.

As above but I would hope a member here would come in your area who is close and buy the whole lot and save you a lot of headaches. I sure would if I was close.
Local pickup is ok, but as always be careful if you are just one person at home. Hopefully a mister or someone armed be with you. Call me cautious, call me whatever but in todays climate it would be prudent. IMO

David Nunn sells on GB and has a shop in Wolf City. You might save yourself some headache and consign with him.

Yes, I would consider those commercial loads.

Thanks to everyone for the great advice. I will start with the gun clubs with an older crowd of collectors. My dad is 80 and had an extensive collection of WWII stuff.
