Probably HAVE to pick a woman to be sure the nominee isn't on the Low-lita Island guest list. (Island name altered to satisfy the board censor)

Color and gender should be the last 2 things to qualify someone to the highest court in the land.

Now you are just talking common sense and you know that has no place in politics. The Supreme Court was set up to be neutral and yet its members are nominated and confirmed by politicians. The Constitution with all of its historical precedents should be one of the easiest documents to understand, so why do we allow partisan justices to saddle us with their biased interpretations? I don't think the founders would either recognize or approve of the state of our government. All of the work of Jefferson, Madison, Paine and Adams has been reduced to just another political tool to be used to gain leverage over ones political opponents. Bob

Going to get someone in before they lose the senate. Don't want the same thing to happen when Ginsburg refused to retire when Obama was in office.

There is a song about that island.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfXBNQMj2SE

The singer is named Alizee and she is a big pop hit in France. This video only has 129,811,315 views.

It is French so here are the lyrics in case you want to know.

    Me Lolita

    Me, I'm called Lolita

    Lo or just Lola

    That's all the same

    Me, I'm called Lolita

    When I consider my mistakes

It's Lola who has to bleed

When I make a slip of the tongue, I have

    An elated laugh also elated

    As a phenomenon

    I'm called Lolita

Lo for spirit, Lo for a diluvial love

    Me, I'm called Lolita

    Student below

    Tight jeans

    Me, I'm called Lolita

    Quick-tempered and not

    17

    Half-cotton, half-wool

Silent and a mouth that doesn't tell

    Mum that I

    Am a phenomenon

    I'm called Lolita

Lo for spirit, Lo for diluvial love

    Repeat Refrain

    It's not my mistake

And if I want to quit

    I see the others

All ready to throw themselves upon me

    It's not my own mistake

If I hear everything around me

    Hello, helli, you're A (L.O.L.I.T.A.)

    Me Lolita

Can you imagine the outcry had Biden said... I want to nominate a WHITE woman to the supreme court.

It's only proper that the Democrat president judge a person by the color of her skin rather than the content of her character.

Black Racist Cyburn from SC cut a deal with Biden prior to being elected president.

Racist & sexist. Same as the choice for VP.

The retirement at this particular time was cut and dried long ago.

Politics as usual, nuten new to see here.

    My 2 cents.

Whomever he nominates, they can't be more left leaning than Roberts.

So when he nominates Kamala Harris and the Senate deadlocks and she casts the winning vote, we will have the first Supreme Court Justice to have failed the Bar Exam.

Sad state of affairs. What was that quaint line about "content of character rather than color of skin"?

Oh, and her family were slave owners. I have yet to hear the Left mention this, or move to cancel her.

Kamala Harris’ Father Outs Her As A Complete Fraudster
What makes this story, which was originally reported in March, more poignant now is that she has given voters the impression that she is African-American.

There's a news story today that claims nobody told Breyer that he was retiring. That he was the last to know.

So...either Breyer is at least as senile as Biden, or the puppet masters desperately want to avoid another Ginsburg fiasco. In my estimation, that's an even bet.

What ever happened to the old adage, the best person for the job?

Common sense seems to be a major contributor to your question.

Shame that the best person for the job has enough common sense to not even apply for the job now days, because a voter using common sense in now the minority.

The first concern I always have when facing trial is: when this judge was appointed, did we make sure they had the right skin shade.

More and more, the extreme left are becoming indistinguishable from racists who demanded separate housing, entrances and drinking fountains for "colored people". AKA "people of color".

And none of them appear to have the sense to recognize it.

Exactly. It should be impossible to determine a Justice's stance on a social issue. Their sole guidance should be the founding documents. I shudder to think of Kamala ruling a 2nd Amendment case based on her hatred of guns, vs. what the Constitution actually says.

I mean, the Democratic party is just returning to their racist roots. Recognize it? It's what they STRIVE for.
